Does Solomon do any direct selling to students, or are all classes run through your partners?

All classes are currently run through partners. They are either academic partners (e.g. educational organizations or professional organizations such as NCAICPA), Small Business Centers and Innovation Centers.

Could you offer exclusivity for our area?

Yes, in fact, it is our preferred model. We will work with you on defining the area to be covered. Our experience is that our academic partners complement our capabilities well. They know the companies, schools, people, etc.  We play a supporting role by providing an excellent learning product at a great value. It isn’t about the on-line materials, it is about the caliber of the supplemental materials, experiential learning exercises and preparation of the instructor(s), all of which Solomon packages into a premium product for our partners. We are very open to an exclusivity agreement as long as we have assurances from the academic partner that they will bring focus and effort to the marketing aspect.

If the classes do not meet an enrollment minimum of 10 students, are the classes cancelled and do we owe any money in this case?

We would work with you on this scenario. For example, we have done initial classes at less than 10 students to establish the program. In each case subsequent classes have averaged 15 plus students. In any case, our academic partner would not absorb any costs if the class is cancelled prior to registration. Once students have been registered there will be a material cost per student that we will need to cover. This is typically paid for by the student.

If the class does not make, can we transfer the enrollments to a different class or combine with another class?

Yes, because of the on-line nature of the materials the only consideration is the instructor’s time. So in this case if there is an instructor that can accommodate additional students in another class, we can easily combine the courses.

Regarding the registration process, we use our own software. Once students register, what is your process for enrolling them in your learning system? (e.g. Do we send you a list? Is there a link thatwe send them?)

We certainly can explore other alternatives but the simplest way for us to register students is for the academic partner to send us the student listing in either an Access database file or an Excel spreadsheet. We only need the students name, preferred username and email address. We then do a batch registration in the LMS with a pseudo password and give them a confirmation email when they can access the system. The student will then be able enter the learning portal and set-up their own password. Their email address and password will only be available to the course administrator at Solomon EOS. An administrative person can also be added when authorized by.

As presented in your LMS would the class have any branding, or can it be customized to include our logo or other branding so that the students know who they are taking the course through?

This is purely your decision. Some partners prefer to have their own learning portal with their brand and others have opted to just use Solomon’s portal. You get the same level of support from Solomon in either case. We will offer, as a new partner your own portal with branding at no charge.

How Much revenue can we expect to receive for offering a Lean Sigma Course?

We operate on a revenue sharing model. After our costs have been covered the Institution retains the balance of the gross receipts received. In a typical market this is no less than 20% of the gross.

Can we offer the course for academic credit or Continuing Education Units (CEU’s)?

Yes, a course can be offered for academic credit or CEU’s. In our brochure we have indicated the appropriate CEU hours for each level of instruction. As an intuition you may evaluate the courses to carry academic credit as determined by your institution.
